What is Anxiety and Panic Attacks?
The terms anxiety attacks and panic attacks are often used interchangeably to mean the same thing.
Anxiety attack is a psychological and physiological state that is typically associated with symptoms like chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, headache, sweating, racing heart, feeling as if the mind has gone blank, feeling of being detached from the world etc…
If you have anxiety, you may feel hopeless, helpless, and sad and stop feeling pleasure from almost everything you do. You may feel down in the dumps or discouraged. You may also be irritable or anxious or have low energy levels.
Anxiety affects our whole being. It affects how we feel, how we behave. People with Anxiety symptoms tend to always expect disaster and can not stop worrying about health, family, school, work, or money and this worry often is not realistic or out of proportion for the situation.
Anxiety limits your performance, limits your willingness to participate at all social events. It affect your thinking, feeling, behaviour and even the physical health.
Eventually anxiety dominates the way person thinks and it interferes with daily functioning, including work, school, social activities, and relationships.
